1979 Corvette
Our Project Shark Attack 1979 Corvette was built for and featured in Corvette Fever magazine starting in June 2004. The complete build was documented from start to finish in Corvette Fever with
the final story placing PSA on the front cover. Restoration and
modifications have been documented with many additional photos.
This one-off 1979 Corvette was built by Corvette Fever's contributing Technical Editor Chris Petris to prove that an early Corvette could be drivable on the highway and city streets. PSA has averaged 21 MPG on the highway and 18 MPG overall.

- Interior custom stitched by Mid America Designs in late model Corvette two-tone leather using the PSA logo
- Gauge faces were done in white using PSA logo by Auto Instruments of Martinsville, Virginia
- Sound deadening and insulation (including inner door panels and console tunnel) provided by Thermo-Tec
- Power door locks added
- Crime Guard security system
- Windshield and door glass replaced
- All window hardware and motors replaced
- A/C system restored under dash
- All outside components replaced with 1982 Corvette pieces using the Nippon-Denso A/C compressor converted to R-134a refrigerant
- Custom halogen fog lamps
- Custom halogen back-up lamps
- 1992 GM truck cruise control modified and installed
